Description of herb

Sea Buckthorn (Hippophae rhamonides) is becoming more and more popular with its healing properties. It could be said that there is no area and difficulty in the human body where the Sea Buckthorn would not be used as a significant helper.

Light orange round fruits are also called "Siberian pineapple", not only for a taste similar to this exotic fruit but also for its similar healing properties. These small balls are the source of a tremendous amount of biologically active ingredients.

The healing effects of the Sea Buckthorn still clearly outweigh the effects of modern chemical drugs.

The use of the Sea Buckthorn for medical purposes has a very long history. It has been widely used in ancient medicine to treat chronic diseases of the stomach, liver, airways, rheumatism and purulent wounds on the skin.

Antique Greeks used it as a hair rejuvenation that gave them a shine and a healthy appearance. In Indian and Tibetan medicine, berries, bark and leaves were used to prepare 10 complex medication mixtures that were recommended for treating gastrointestinal diseases, inflammatory and purulent lung diseases and bleeding. In Eastern folk healing, the mature fruits of this plant have been used for centuries, and the juice is excreted out of them in the absence of appetite, and the sun and wounds from outside. Folk healers recommend using the Sea Buckthorn internally and externally against hair loss, scurvy (avitaminosis) and anemia.

Hippophae Rhamnoides fruits are so rich in vitamins and nutrients that speculate that the plant was cultivated by an ancient plant breeder. Legend has it that the ancient Greeks used Sea Buckthorn as part of a racing horse diet, hence the botanical name "Hippophae" - a shimmering horse. According to another legend, Sea Buckthorn were a favorite of Pegasus flying horse and helped him take off.

Sea Buckthorn is actually used in the food industry (syrups, compotes, marmalades, jams), medicine (treatment of skin diseases, mucous membranes, ulcers, digestive disorders, cancer, gynecological problems) and in cosmetics.
